Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to change your choice.
This policy explains how Metta Accountants Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on mettaaccountants.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Last updated 5 November 2026.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, which works in much the same way. Some are essential for the site to work. Others, such as analytics, are only used if you agree.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics and embedded content. You can accept all, reject everything that is not essential, or choose by category. Nothing optional runs until you choose. You can change your mind at any time.
We remember your choice in your browser and ask again after 12 months. If you withdraw consent, we remove the cookies Google Analytics set and reload the page without them.
Strictly necessary (no consent needed)
These keep the site working or provide something you have asked for. They are stored only in your browser and are not sent to us for tracking.
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|

| metta_ai_session_id, metta_ai_chat_history | Metta Accountants | Keeps your chat with our website assistant going if you leave and come back. | Until you clear the chat or your browser data |

Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. It sets the cookies below and sends information about your visit, such as the pages you view and your approximate location, to Google. If you reach our website from a Google ad, Google Analytics records which ad you clicked and whether you then booked a call or sent an enquiry. We share this with Google Ads so we can measure how well our ads work. We do not use it to build advertising audiences or to show you ads on other websites. This only happens if you have accepted analytics.
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long |

| _ga, _ga_G-MF7D2YCN01 | Tells returning visitors apart so we can count visits and pages. | Up to 2 years |
Embedded content (only with your consent)
Some parts of the site load content from other companies. Those companies receive your IP address and may set their own cookies. We do not control them, so please see their own policies.
- Trustpilot: the reviews widget that shows our Trustpilot rating. Until you agree, a plain link to our Trustpilot page is shown instead.
- Calendly: the booking calendar for discovery calls. Until you agree, you can open Calendly in a new tab instead.
Other ways to control cookies
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and install Google's browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Blocking essential storage may stop parts of the site, such as the chat history, from working.
